Organisers of the 2nd annual Jersey Style Awards in association with Bentley Motors have announced their 2018 ‘Special Honourees’ that will attend the glittering gala in the picturesque island in the British Isles on 28th June 2018.

Italian luxury fashion house Prada will receive the ‘International Fashion Brand of the Year’ award and London born designer Richard Quinn will be honoured with ‘Emerging British Designer of the Year’. Legendary fashion designer Pam Hogg will be inducted into the ‘Style Hall of Fame’ for her contribution to British fashion over the last 30 years.

Bentley Motors Channels Islands, aviation management specialists Ortac (AOC) Ltd and luxury jeweller Chopard have also been revealed as the official partners to the awards ceremony that will take place on the 28th June 2018.
There are also 13 other awards which will be presented on the night to honour, nurture and recognise the fifty-four local businesses who have been shortlisted across the arts, culture, tourism, retail and style sectors.

General Manager of Bentley Channel Islands Andrew Searle said; “Bentley Channel Islands are delighted to be the Official Car Partner of the second annual Jersey Style Awards, as we believe style is always worth celebrating. This is the island’s most exciting red-carpet night of the year and a wonderful platform to showcase the great heritage, culture and style that originates from Jersey. We're thrilled to chauffeur the international tastemakers, music icons and fashion stars who will descend upon the island for an evening of toasting success and unadulterated glamour.

“We’re also delighted to reveal that we will be bringing over a new Continental GT3 race car to exhibit at the event - a first for the island! Bentley Motorsport has a wonderful in-house team at Crewe and this car is the most exciting race car ever created by Bentley - lighter, more dynamic and even more powerful and indeed, based on the company’s most advanced road car. VIP guests at the awards will be able to get up close and personal with the car in advance of the upcoming motor season.”

The VIP guests will be travelling to the island by private jet, courtesy of official aviation partner Ortac. Tobi Mathews, Managing Director of the Jersey based business said; “We are very much looking forward to warmly welcoming stars from fashion, music and film on board. As business jet management specialists, we’re absolutely delighted to be flying them into our beautiful Island, for this fabulous night of celebration, in luxurious style!”

Managing Director of Chopard UK Antonius Kerssenbrock said; “We’re delighted to return as the Official Jeweller to the 2nd annual Jersey Style Awards. We've always had a wonderful affinity with red carpets, film and culture. By celebrating the wealth of creativity, innovation and style that emanates from Jersey it is a pleasure for Chopard to support the awards. We will once again be exhibiting our high jewellery and fine watch collections, which only the guests at the gala will have the opportunity to see. Worn and adored by international celebrities we’re excited to preview these special pieces in Jersey with our local jewellery partner, Hettich.”

The event is the brainchild of entrepreneur and branding expert Dr. Tessa Hartmann CBE, who also founded the Scottish Fashion Awards.

“We are thrilled to be honouring one of the best known and most loved fashion brands in the world – Prada, alongside emerging talent that is Richard Quinn. This young designer won the inaugural Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design in February 2018 at LFW and made headlines around the world as it was a first for Her Majesty the Queen as she sat front row at his show. We are also delighted to welcome fashion legend that is Pam Hogg to Jersey for the first time, as we induct her into the ‘Style Hall of Fame’ for her thirty years contribution to British Fashion.”

“We are so pleased with the volume of entries this year, surpassing that of 2017. Ultimately, these awards are about celebrating the most creative talent and innovative businesses across arts, culture, tourism and style on the island. We will also pay homage to global players in style and this year certainly won’t disappoint with the fashion heavyweights that will be in attendance,” stated Tessa.

Organisers have yet to reveal the surprise music act who will perform to the VIP guests on the night, but have promised that they are in for ‘quite a show’!
