1. Restaurant of the Year
This award will recognise the restaurant that can demonstrate excellence in their field. Consideration will be given to great service, excellent food, demonstration of using local suppliers, originality in menu planning and consistency. Entrants should have a track record of a first-class experience and should list any other awards or notable accomplishments.
2. Casual Dining Restaurant of the Year
This award will recognise an establishment that offers an excellent causal dining experience, that welcomes both families and customers with creativity, consistency and genuine Jersey hospitality. Consideration will be given to originality, quality of food, atmosphere and use of local suppliers.
3. Wine List of the Year
This award recognizes the restaurant / establishment that prides itself on its wine selection. An interesting array of wines will be on offer to cater for a wide range of wine lovers and will be appropriate for the type of cuisine served. There should be a well-chosen selection from quality producers that provides a thematic match to the menu in terms of both price and style.
4. Island Bar of the Year
This award recognizes the bar that caters for the Jersey community. A bar that is continually pushing the boundaries and latest trends in beverage and atmosphere. Their drinks menu will cater for a wide variety of tastes and their stylish interior will reflect a contemporary feel that reflects the current trends and caters for the Jersey customer.
5. High Street / Online Retailer of the Year
This award will recognise the endeavours of a high street or online retailer who has led the way in bringing new product, innovative retail concept or designers/brands to their business. The business should be based in Jersey but can be operating around the world. Consideration will be given to overall retail proportion, merchandising, marketing and brand image. Retailer can be part of a large group or brand.
6. Independent Retailer of the Year
This award will recognise the endeavours of an independent high street retailer who has led the way in bringing new product, innovative retail concept and a strong brand image to Jersey. Consideration will be given to overall retail proposition, merchandising, marketing and brand image. Online retailers are also included in this category.
7. Visitor Attraction of the Year (Theme parks, zoo's, historic houses, heritage centres and castles)
This award will recognise an outstanding visitor attraction that targets day visitors, tourists and local residents. Consideration will be given to visitor experience, customer service and marketing.
8. Cultural Attraction of the Year (Theatre, Arts & Entertainment)
This award will recognise the leading cultural destination in Jersey. From museums, galleries, theatre, opera, ballet, live music events and unique cultural experiences. Consideration will be given to customer experience, excellence in management, marketing and visitor numbers.
9. Hotel of the Year
This award will recognise a truly outstanding hotel experience. The applicant must demonstrate excellence across every department and across every aspect of the business. This award applies to a full-service hotel. That is a hotel that offers a minimum service of a reception, bar, dinner and breakfast.
10. Boutique Hotel / Small Hotel of the Year
This award will recognise a truly outstanding boutique or small hotel. The applicant must demonstrate excellence across every aspect of the business and highlight what makes this small hotel unique and original. For example, Boutique Hotels, B&B, Guest House, Room Only accommodation and Town House's should apply in this category.
11. Active & Sports Experience of the Year
This award will recognise an active and or sports experience business that can demonstrate that they have gone the extra mile to deliver an outstanding and innovative active and sporting experience e.g. surf schools, coasteering, climbing, kite surfing, sailing and boating experiences.
12. Spa / Wellbeing / Health Brand of the Year
This award will recognise a spa, wellbeingor health brand in Jersey. The business must demonstrate excellence in their field, superior treatments/service, attention to detail and brand proposition. From out of town havens to urban beauty boutiques and gyms, we are looking for wellness brands that raise the bar in the business of health, wellbeing and fitness.
13. Tastemaker of the Year (Band, Musician, Painter, Sculptor, Photographer or Creative)
This award will recognise the work of an individual, band/group, artist or creative who has demonstrated an outstanding contribution to their art from in the last 12 months. They must demonstrate commercial and critical success in their discipline and must be based in Jersey but can be working nationally or internationally.
14. Corporate Philanthropy
This award will recognise the company whose charitable / philanthropic endeavours have made a lasting impression in Jersey in the last 12 months. We are looking for companies who have a defined cause related marketing campaign and whose ambition is to give back to the island in the form of supporting local and community projects. Please outline the nature of the project and what you have done to fulfil your objectives.
